So..... I've been really bad at updating this for the past few months. I WILL try to be better. It just seems like I never have my camera with me anymore. I used to carry it everywhere, it was practically attached to me. But lately, I've been terrible and it upsets me so because I've missed so many wonderful moments. My camera and I need to get more intimately involved, and soon!
That should be easy since my wonderful hubby bought me a new computer, printer and photo shop program for my birthday.....even though it's not quite my birthday yet, but soon! I love all my new toys and am SUPER excited to play around with my new program and create beautiful pictures. Not that any pictures with my boys in them aren't beautiful already!
Speaking of said wonderful hubby, he had a birthday just this past weekend. We celebrated his big 3-0 last Saturday and it was fab-o if I do say so myself. We have never, and I seriously mean never, in over 5 years, spent the night away from our boys. Sure he's gone on a few "boys" weekends and been away from them but I've always been with them. But since turning 30 is a pretty big thing....especially for him....I decided to surprise him with a special night away at a hotel. It was quite nice, even if we were only 5 whole minutes from the house.....baby steps people, baby steps. We had a nice dinner with friends followed by a few drinks at the bar and then ended the night with just the two of us, no kids to put to bed. We got to cuddle and talk, and the best part, of course, was that we got to sleep in the next morning! All in all, a wonderful evening and one I know he truly enjoyed.
Today the boys and I had a wonderful play date with my good friend, Michelle, and her little boy Chase. We took the kiddos to a place called Boomerangs in Plano and the kids had a blast. Definitely a place I would recommend. It is quite inexpensive and you can stay as long as you'd like....especially good in these times of stretching the dollar. However, I once again walked out of the house without my camera and missed the opportunity to get some great pics of the boys.....bad mommy. I mean, amazingly enough, my boys played for over two hours straight without fighting with each other once. I had begun to think that was no longer possible. I know they love each other but sometimes.....
Well, off to play with my new "toys" now. I promise to post some pics once I figured out some cool tricks. Until then......
