B U B B L E S!!

Today was a laid back, easy-going day. We played with bubbles in the backyard and had so much fun with Chunk because he kept chasing them, trying to eat them. What a silly dog he is!
Haas just thought Chunk looked like he was going crazy so he stayed out the way... And Rosco, well he was too busy staring at the birds in the tree (typical Rosco) to even notice what we were doing! After blowing bubbles for 30 minutes we thought that maybe it would be fun to blow bubbles in the dog's water bowl/pool. Then we noticed that it made the water soapy and bubbly so we decided to dump the rest in the water. Mom and dad didn't find this to be as much fun...something about the dogs not wanting to drink soapy water. Who knew the dogs were so picky? It's not like Chunk hadn't been eating the bubbles for the last half hour, he must have liked the way they tasted, right?
So daddy dumped the soapy water and filled the pool with some nice fresh water. But being the boys we are, we just wouldn't stay out of it. Dad warned that if we didn't he was going to hose us. Guess we thought he was joking. You know what though, he WASN'T.
At first we got a little upset but then we thought it was pretty cool to be getting soaked while in our clothes so we kept messing with the water just so dad would spray us more. That sure was fun daddy! Can we do it again?!

It was hard to settle down after all that excitement! So to help us wind down mom and dad let us have pizza and a "theater" night, two of our favorite things! Thanks mom and dad! We watched The Spiderwick Chronicles movie. Mommy and daddy read us the series chapter by chapter for our bedtime story and we've been waiting for that movie to come out for a long time now. We sure are glad we finally got to see it. Although, mommy and daddy were upset with how different the movie was to the book. I guess
we are too young realize the differences because we loved it!

It's PARTY Time!!!

Our cousin Campbell had his 3rd birthday party today and we had a BLAST!! We got to play with all his toys (which is always better than playing with your own toys), splash around in the pool, dig in the sandbox, and eat lots of SUGAR! Thanks Campbell and Crystal for inviting us over and for all the goodies you sent us home with! We had a really great time and we hope that Cam loved his party!

Exploring Nature and Science

Mom and dad took us to the Museum of Nature and Science today. We spent pretty much the whole day there exploring and learning about all sorts of fun things. We got to learn about the Earth and gravity and the weather and about all the different types of life that our planet has possessed, past and present. We had a great time and mommy took lots - over 300 - pictures so we could share our adventure with you all. Here are just a few for now but when mom gets time, she'll add some more.

AMERICA BEHOLD...

...your future athletes!

At least mom and dad sure hope so, you know, to help waiver some of the cost of sending two children to college within a year of each other!

...Contemplation...

...I think I can...

A Mid Year Update

So since we started this mid-year, and mom has a few minutes, she thought she'd recap some of the cute, and not-so-cute, adventures and trouble we've gotten into so far this year. Bless mommy and daddy for loving us so much even though we are often little snicker-doodles!!

We brought in the new year out at the ranch. We had lots of fun watching fireworks, fishing, walking and driving trails, and geting DIRTY!!

When we got home, we helped daddy clean his Jeep.
Okay, so maybe we did more playing in the mud than helping to wash....what can we say, we're boys through and through!

And getting dirty doesn't have to stop with mud. Oh no my friends, there are plenty of other fun mediums to use for getting dirty. Take markers for example, who says they are only for coloring on paper? I mean, art can be found anywhere, right?

And would you believe that even after all the silly things we've done, mommy and daddy still let us have our own pet. Her name is Remi and boy is she a lot of fun to play with! Mom wasn't too keen on the idea of having a rat in the house but she's warming up....just as long as she doesn't actually have to touch her!

Let's see, what else have we been up to? Oh yeah, we decided to try out fashion, it's not just for girls anymore. We think we have quite a unique style. What do you think?

Mommy and daddy ARE always telling us that we should recycle to help save our planet. So...maybe we have a future in a recycled plastic clothing line. Though it will need some work, these aren't the most practical outfits. But give us time, we'll think of something.

We've also had a family of mallard ducks that lived in our pool for a few weeks...

Noah turned 3 with a Scooby Doo party...

And now that the weather is so warm, we've been playing sports and water games and swimming!

YO HO HO.... A Pirates Life For Me!

We have quite an active imagination these days. Mom and dad say that it's one of their favorite (maybe the only) parts about this age.
We are always going on an adventure together. Some that are realistic, some that are only the fantasies that a 3 and 4 year olds mind could dream up, but they are ALL fun!

Imagination + Drama = Never a dull moment!!
